The food formulation is based on current knowledge of dog nutrition and was modeled on the diet of their ancestors. It contains a wide variety of meat, including fish (85%), a small amount of carbohydrates and vegetables and, most importantly, no sugar. Two thirds of the ingredients used are fresh, one third are dried. This breakdown provides valuable amino acids that are absorbed most quickly and efficiently by the dog’s body. Proteins of animal origin accelerate the regeneration of muscles and bones. Vegetables such as lentils: red and green, pumpkin in different varieties, green peas and pinto beans, herbs and fruits: apples, pears, blueberries or cranberries, provide vitamins and minerals.
The diet is based on chicken and turkey meat, to which are added fish from natural catches and barn eggs. Fish – for example herring or dab – is a rich source of fats and unsaturated fatty acids omega-3 and -6, which strengthen the dog’s heart and nervous system, while maintaining the healthy appearance of its skin and coat. In addition, the food has been enriched with zinc for a strong and healthy coat and with chondroitin and glucosamine to strengthen bones and joints and minimize the risk of injury or dislocation.
High-quality nutrients and animal protein – 38% – are provided by meat, offal, cartilage, fish, chicken and turkey eggs, as well as fruits and vegetables from local orchards.
